This young lady tried very hard to upstage her Aunt on Saturday.

As the headlines show more ministers, even cabinet ministers ripping us off it would appear this whole rotten government is responsible for one of the biggest cover up's yet. Over 1,million homes are paying too much council tax because they are in the wrong band, and guess what the government has known about it since 2005!! and have admitted {only because they have been caught out yet again} to the cover up. Now is gaining monies falsely not FRAUD?. It is when Benefit cheats do it.
One good bit of useful news in the papers today. Under EU rules any goods bought in shops are actually covered for 2yrs not 1 as shops would have you believe. It may be even more because in England and Wales it is up to 5-6yrs. So next time something goes wrong with something you have bought argue the point with the manager and make him phone his/her head office.
So don't waste your money on extended warranties.

Some would say we are always 'fishing' but my son is now doing the real thing with his son.
Our family are no strangers to this sport, my nephew Andrew has a dream job. He has fished since he was a teenager beginning on the river Esk at Canonbie. His hobby is now his job being editor of the Trout & Salmon magazine. My dad on the other hand spent 9 months making his own rod, went down to the river and after half an hour packed it in and never went back! he was not known for his patience.
I hear some lunatic fringe lobby are trying to ban fishing because fish feel pain!

El dotto started practicing early for the weekend this week.
Our stamina is not what it used to be, so we need to practice!
Our calender is filling up for June, our friend Erin is running in The Race for Life in Glasgow so it will be good to catch up with her. Erin is another bright spark who has entered our lives over the past 2yrs. You could say getting older is becoming quite interesting!!!

We have been to some strange places over the past years and yesterday would probably rank somewhere in the top 10.
The place 'Tir na nOg' at Balfunning. There you will learn all about fairies, crytals and constellations!! and enjoy a meal at their Veggie cafe.
Not sure what a Beltane Firewalk is. They hold a number of day and afternoon courses all based on mythical beliefs as well as different therapies, Massage, reflexology, Indian head massage, Reiki and Kinesiology.
When I walked into the shop the smell immediately reminded me of the Tibetan Center in Dumfriesshire.
On the way home my mind was wandering, as it would after visiting a place like that. I wondered what if anything the Bible had to say on the subject of fairies!! not that I think the Bible has the last word on everything.....oops I have now probably committed the ultimate sin in the eyes of some people.
As a Christian I find some of these beliefs quite odd but then they probably think the concept of one God equally odd and like the Christian religion there seems to be a lot of tac associated to it from Angel essences to star dust!
On the other hand they do sell some nice chocolate.
