Here we are at the beginning of yet another week, I should be at the 'steamie' but I have taken to drying the washing outside and it's not quite the day to do that so I have postponed that little job.
I often wish I had Ray's artistic gift as there are so many beautiful scenes to paint round this coastline.
This is round at Cove, a nice quiet spot to watch the world go by on the Clyde.
At some point this week we will be returning to the city so that I can catch an early flight to Belfast on Friday. I understand that I am to be taken to a new church on Sunday in Ballymena, I also understand that the majority of the congregation are young and that the worship is somewhat lively.....can I stand the pace I ask myself.
The intriguing thing about this is that my friend who is older than I am has been in the Brethren all her life, has now left and is going to this church....wow!

I woke up this morning expecting to see rain and here we are bathed in glorious sunshine again, just goes to show you shouldn't believe everything you hear on the telly!
Sunshine and glorious sunsets have been the order of the day for some weeks now giving us little inclination to move far, but is too much of a good thing...good for us? Is there a danger of becoming territorial over our space and time and thus not wanting to share it with others near or far.
I suppose you can chill out so much that any effort to function with the world around you becomes a mountain in itself. Yet when we do manage to emerge from our cocoon like we did this morning a go to church we are reminded that there is still a very welcoming group of people who actually like to see us and I am sure it is still the same with our friends. So an effort must be made over the next few weeks to touch base with our many friends again.

First it's the parents now it is their offspring! and how determined they are.
I was watching Question Time last night and one has to wonder just how long Gordon Brown can hang on, I also wonder how he must feel as a person these days. Is he as thick skinned as he appears or is his sojourn into No 10 going to be the end of him.
How does one take such a hammering on such a personal level day in and day out and not let it have any effect on you. I just don't believe he can go to bed each night and shake it off.

It may have been just an ordinary day for us but for some poor fellow it was not his best day.
Over the past few days coaches have been arriving bringing groups of adults to partake in some outdoor activities, I guess it is some kind of team building exercise.
This is an ideal place for this kind of thing, they have even brought along a portable climbing wall. Sadly for one guy things did not go according to plan.
It did however show the best of our emergency services.
We enjoyed our wee jaunt to town but it's good to be back.

Yesterday we did something new....well new for us, we had lunch in a Health shop! Having walked quite a distance and feeling rather fatigued we needed to boost our system. I had remembered seeing this wee place one day while passing on a bus. A healthy Smoothie and a wrap did the job.
These Smoothie's are quite the rage just now and an excellent way of getting your daily intake of fruit and veg....mine had carrot in it!
Sitting on the bus going into town yesterday I spied a notice say,"Please remain seated until the bus stops", good advice I thought and a get out for the bus company should any accident occur. But what about when you get on the bus? No sooner are your feet in the bus and money taken and off it speeds leaving you propelling up the passage way!!!
Today it is Braehead and maybe buy something new for my over filled wardrobe!....must get back to buy one, throw one out routine!!!
Home tomorrow....that's the plan!
