I'm trying to take a wee rest from politics so I won't say why!!!
Four years ago I bought a new Pentax SLR camera with a Timron telephoto lens to take wild life pictures, I have now resurected it....well Keith did on Colonsay! and have decided to pick up my hobby again. I still believe you get the best photo's doing it the old way and the challenge is there also.
Still no need for prints get them put onto a disk, I usually wait until I have two or three to go on one disk.

I know time passes by very quickly but twice in the past 24hrs I have had to take a double take as I saw houses with outside Christmas lights still up!!.....how many days to Christmas?!!!
Before that however we have the little matter of Gretna playing in the Scottish Premier league next season.....so this Granny just might take to visiting Fir Park for yet another pass time!..just to let my hair down!

As I sit listening to the pouring rain outside my mind flitted back to last Sunday lying on the beach at Kiloran Bay on Colonsay. Ray is pictured here in summer gear!!!...and it was still April!
We had wall to wall sunshine for the whole 6days as we wound down in preparation for whatever lay ahead of us.
That was last week! today The Drunken Boat is heaving up and down on a swell of emotions. Events in the background still continue with full force, events that cannot be discussed at this point in time all adding to the intrigue and all adding to the fatigue I feel in both mind and body.
Keith and Brenda had an excellent flight back to Norwich only taking 40mins!

Family holidays with siblings are not something I am used to, in fact I cannot remember ever having one so a week on Colonsay with my brother and his wife was a new experience for me. 
I was surprised at how comfortable and at ease I was with myself knowing how difficult family relationships can be, even the thought of him being in church to hear me preach did not bother me.......he who never goes near a church!!!
There was a time when I would have felt intimidated by such a high flyer....big brothers can do that!
So does having a purpose in life bring confidence? and what now of that purpose? 2days after what would appear to be a disaster I find myself buoyed up and still raring to go! I see no negatives only positives....an opportunity for new directions new paths leading to the same goal, the goal being to care about the most vulnerable of our society. What vehicle I use to travel with is not clear at the moment but continue to travel I will.

If anyone is under the misconception that digital TV gives you a better service, then come and live here! If the mist sweeps down over the mountains then forget all BBC programmes!....I even mist our own Party Election Broadcast last night.....not that it really matters as we have our very own copy of it on a DVD!
So warm humid weather does not suit DigiBoxes!
Anyone watching the London Marathon on Sunday would also see the effect the warm weather was having down there...23deg no less, phew..just standing watching would have knackered me!
Today has so far been one of those rare days when it was possible to have a good old fashioned lay in....it was 9-50 before I opened my eyes!..the shock of which I may add had me jumping out of bed! Not sure why, it's raining so I can't hoover or wash the Disco...maybe someone is trying to tell me something!
