Unlike this little guy, I had absolutely no inclination to brave the cold weather today!
No we don't have snow....photo is an old one!! it's actually to cold to snow here, maybe if it did snow it would be a little warmer. Looking at the forecast it is to be even colder tomorrow and we are going up to Ledaig.....it would be a day for 'long-johns' ......if I had any!!
I have been reading Julie Goodyear's biography today and she mentioned liberty bodice's with rubber buttons......I remember them. I think I have an aversion to any underwear that reminds me of my childhood clothing. I used to have thick vests in the winter plus the liberty bodice! {and where did that name come from anyway?} and a thin vest in the summer!!...all St Micheal's mind you!!! I was told it was the proper way for little girls to dress.....I wonder what that was all about....I can guess!!!! Even to this day I refuse to wear a vest!....I wonder if I will succumb to that one as I get older.....for the moment I just throw on another jumper.

It appears winter has finally arrived at least in the South and as usual everything grinds to a halt. It was DIY this morning as hopefully we fixed a leaking radiator in our abode up in Castle Park......it's amazing what you can do when you have to!
Now we are sitting catching up with Lost!......in other words having a lazy day after all the activity of being in the city etc.
This w/end a group from our church are of to Cambodia to meet and support Christians over there who work with poor and marginalized groups of people....mainly children. One of things they have specifically asked for is Multivitamins. We take such things for granted even list them as unimportant but over there where the poor live on a diet of rice only they are very important. One of the aims of this mini mission is to see how we as a church can support such a community on a long term basis by drawing up a list of 'must haves' and send these things out on a regular basis. Is it not the purpose of the church to bring heaven to earth?.....I leave you with that thought!

They say you are never too old to learn and yesterday I learned more about how Proportional Representational voting works, and because of this I succumbed and agreed to have my name put down on a list of candidates for the Highlands & Islands. Let me make it quite clear here and now I will not be chosen as a MSP at the forth coming election. The two top candidates for this region have already been picked.
So why agree to put my name forward? well it gives me a legitimate platform to promote SSCUP from and secure some votes for the two who have agreed to be formally nominated. My prayer is no-one drops out and I get shoved up the list.!!!!
Our meeting at Fir Park went very well resulting in more or less a free hand to create a new website and an invitation to dine in the members lounge at Holyrood with John Swinburne the week after next. Interesting times!!
Today we took a walk in the sunshine up to Crookston Castle.....Dougal was well impressed with his off the lead run around.....freedom.

A phone call from Motherwell yesterday setting up a meeting for today has meant our wee break has turned into work....work and more work!!...which I suppose to be honest does us no harm.
Like most things and organizations today everybody takes ages to decide what they want.....then they want it yesterday!!
Politics are politics even in business and even doing a website has it's politics.
Do we go with what is there?
Do we ask for the password and improve on what is there?
Do we start from new?.......all will be revealed in due course?......of course the last option has required Ray the technical expert to build an example.......10hrs later we are pleased with the outcome......I say we very tentatively because my input is only ideas on content.....which is important as I will be maintaining it in the future.
So now it is of to Hamilton for lunch then on to Fir Park.

"I always wanted to be somebody, but I should have been more specific."
This quote reminds me of praying......we tend to be very vague then blame God for not answering. We also forget that God can say NO just as well as He can say YES!! Our prayers become like a shopping list of what we want instead of what we actually need.
Perhaps before we ask we should LISTEN!!
The big city beckons us again today to house-sit and maybe take in a film.....before we know it, it will be the w/end again. We are looking forward to a day trip up to Ledaig on Saturday to see our friends Willie & Jan......Jan is a wonderful cook who specializes in never giving her guests the same thing twice!!!..how on earth she remembers I have no idea. It will be good to catch up, Ray has never seen the chalets and new house they have built looking out across to Mull.
