They won!!
1/04/2006, 1/04/2006
The sun is shining, Gretna has got through to the final, men are playing on their yachts over on the water.....it's a wonderful day.
I have even made a sweet for tonight's tea, this is new to me as I am usually a meat and veg person but James on Ready Steady Cook has inspired me so I ventured forth, I hope it tastes okay!
I see Jack Straw is entertaining his American counterpart this weekend....I wonder whose paying for that!

Mind walking
1/04/2006, 1/04/2006
Yesterday my mind or memory went for a walk, I found myself back in Canonbie as a child. These thoughts had originally come from a dream I had and I just kept up the thought line throughout the morning.
It is surprising where your mind and other senses take you. I eventually ended up in the school playground!! remembering someone who was always a bully, I was then catapulted into the present and remembered how recently that very same person had attacked a friend of mine...I won't go into why!. The point I am making is that bullies seldom change, if not checked they end up being a bully for life always trying to control others.....no wonder so many marriages fail.
This is equally so for both sexes, the case above was a girl who has grown into a violent angry women but where did it all start?
For most it starts in the home, what they see or experience becomes the norm and is past on......parents have a lot to answer for, I am grateful to my parents in that violence either verbal or physical was never seen in our home.

Antics up and down the corridor
30/03/2006, 30/03/2006
As I write this himself and the queen are chasing each other up and down the corridor which is'nt very long I may say, so occasionally the queen will turn on himself and give him a clout with one of her paws as they pass.
Poor Dougal he lives in a house where females rule.
As we have journeyed up and down to town this week we have seen signs that at last Spring is trying to burst out, green is appearing on the trees and the daffodils are holding their heads up high.
Our peace may be about to be shattered as the schools break up tomorrow on the up side though the place does feel alive when more people are around, and more and more boats are appearing on the horizon.....play time for the boys again!!!!!

Computing days
29/03/2006, 29/03/2006
I never thought the day would come when I would spend ALL day in front of a computer screen, I used to hate them and once refused a new one at work, to me they were a thing to be feared....still are a wee bit!
Not only have I spent all day but at 1AM we were up trying to put a new idea onto the screen....still trying but success is in sight. Ray doing the design me the research.
Once you get an idea into your head sleep does not come easy, if at all. so now at 7pm I am knackered!!
The only other thoughts on my mind today have been about football of all things. Hailing from the border area, not far from Gretna I am like many others getting a wee bit excited about the game against Dundee at the w/end.....who would have thought!
Still no static rain, or have I missed it?
